iPhone Skateboard

It doesn't have the old skool style of a Powell Peralta board, but if I could still ride one of these without killing myself, I might be a little tempted to get this one. However, after a brief attempt to show off to the neighbourhood kids last summer, resulting in a skateboard flying way to close to a certain M3, and me flying way too hard to the ground, my boarding days are officially over.

Hoodie Fashion

Have you ever been anywhere and you really wished you could just blow up your hoodie hood and use it as a pillow? Nope? Me either, but this obviously occured to someone, otherwise they'd never have invented this thing. I have a hard enough time with a plain vanilla hood, well, ever since my age moved into double figures anyway, so carry a hood on my back with a bit of extra weight doesn't really appeal.

It's Party Time

If you want to kick that party off in style with some Al Brown style disco antics (and you don't want Phil ruining your house permanently with a dry ice smoke machine), this is the perfect thing for you. Your own portable disco wherever you lay your hat (now that's your home).

Kids these days....

When I was 11, I happily played footy in the street, and had just began my journey into BMX'ing. I watched lots of car racing on TV, but was never allowed to drive one. That's why I'm soooo jealous of this 11 year old kid from Finland, seen here blasting round in the snow in an Evo. Very, very jealous...

Photo Geotagging

If this is real, I want it now (and it's just saved me a few pennies as I was thinking of buying a standalone gadgetthingamyjiggy to do this)

Best Slippers Ever?

babytoes, originally uploaded by sgoralnick.

They scare me, but I can't help but smile. Don't use these if you have a real baby lying around the house - the confusion could get painful for someone......

Best Car Sale

If you have a spare 85k (pounds) lying around, you could be the new owner of the original 1997 WRC/Prodrive Rally car, driven by the late, great Colin McRae. There's a few others on there that might be just a little interesting if you're into that sort of thing....

My Next Camera?

This new Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 (I'm liking how they make these names so memorable and roll off the tongue) might just be my next camera - waterproof and shockproof, it'll work in the pool, on the beach and on the slopes. It also happens to shoot HD video. If the picture quality is up to scratch, it might just be a winner.

Brabus G-Wagon

I've never really understood the status that the Mercedes G Wagon has over here. Stars seem to love them, but I think if I was going with an old school 4-wheel go anywhere thing, it'd have to be a Land Rover for me. However, whenever anyone puts 690 bhp into something, it gets my interest......

Updated Widgets

So the Last.FM music widgets that weren't working properly finally got the better of me (pissed me off no end given the code has been the same for the last year or two, and I kinda liked them a lot when they were working), so I took the opportunity to mess with a few of the other widgets over there as well.

I've now upgraded to the new all-in-one Lijit blog (it has different sections if you click on it), as well as getting my music widget from Adaptive Blue (they're the one who's been supplying my Amazon widgets for a while). I also added the Shelfari widget, as I finally got signed up last week after thinking about it for at least 12 months. It should show a few of the books I've read recently (I hope anyway), and if you're signed up on the site, you can add me as a friend if you feel like it.

I did at one point plan a complete makeover of the whole thing, but I don't think I have the talent to get it to do what I want, at least not on a work night, so I gave it a miss. Maybe a project for a long weekend sometime when we get snowed in.....

Random Dance

So I realized I hadn't seen much posting from Lindsay recently, so I wandered over to her blog to make sure I hadn't missed anything in the onslaught of Valentines Day stuff filling my Tumblr Dashboard. Turns out she has a little button at the top called "Random", so I clicked. It took me to this video, and it kinda made my day (that and the special delivery of Girl Scout Cookies that just arrived :-))

Distributech Video

Due to a certain Australian making his wife have a baby just before a major conference, I got called into demo duty at Distributech. Included was a quick video segment on the stuff we were presenting, and the link has just gone live now. I definitely don't have the dulcet tones of Mr Tonkin, but it didn't turn out too bad in the end I guess......

Token Fashion Week Post

I don't even think this dress is related to fashion week, but weird girls walking down a runway in outlandish clothes has never really been my thing to be honest. So, here's a dress made if loads of zips, so you can convert it as you go - nice and long and decent for work, mini skirt and almost bra for happy hour. I'm a big fan of practicality.

Vans and Bare Feet

Perfectly combined. If these were available from the shop I might just have to trade in the black and white checks I've had for the past however many years. But creating these involves a little bit of practicality and skills in the art department. Rules me out....

Snowboarding

I managed to sneak off for a day of crowd free boarding on Wednesday. Tried out Beaver Creek for the first time ever - it was pretty cool (and pretty cold by late afternoon), and the post boarding high has lasted until now (and maybe longer). Of course, heading up on your own means no-one to take vids/pics when you ride stylishly down the mountain (or in my case tumble head first), so I've stole this vid from Flange's recent stash. The bowls at Keystone were the first I ever did - still remember coming out of a shoot near the bottom upside down.....

So don't blame me when it finally happens.....

Lambo in the Snow

If you're feeling a little cold over there in the UK, here's an idea for something to do with your time, instead of sitting in front of the fire (and good luck getting snow tires that size)

An Outdoor Watch from Timex

I'm not sure why, but I really like this new Timex watch that's coming out in May. Maybe it's coz it has so many gadgets built into the single device (an altimeter, barometer, thermometer, chronograph, alarm and compass), or just coz it's nice and clean looking. It comes in white and red as well, if you're not keen on the yellow.

I love Jesus but I drink a little

Well, not me, but the lady on this show from Austin, Texas. Ellen (in my humble and very non-expert opinion) is way better than Oprah, but as I'm male and spend the day in the office at work, I'm not their target audience I guess.

Anyway, the wife sent me this through this afternoon, and it actually made tears of laughter spring forth in a gushing motion. Or something. It's good.
